Founded by Haj Ahmed Al-Tijani in the 1960s,
The El Tigany Group has evolved significantly from its initial focus on trading—including agricultural tools, construction materials, and sisal fiber—to becoming a major player in industrial manufacturing. 1960s
The group was founded by Haj Ahmed Al‑Tijani along with his sons, Mohamed and Ahmed. The business started trading in construction/architectural tools and agricultural tools.
1970s - 1990s
The group expanded its product range. They began offering threads (silk, CF, PVC-reinforced, mixed), ropes (sisal, plastic, polypropylene), woven tapes, plastic tarpaulins (for greenhouses, nurseries), in addition to continuing construction tools, agricultural tools, sisal fiber (Kenyan and Brazilian), agricultural carts/accessories, axes, hoes, chains, planks, and inner covers for tuk-tuks, motorcycles and carts.
1990s
Eltigany Group began shifting from trading to manufacturing: they established modern factories to produce woven tapes, threads, greenhouse tarpaulins, rubber products, etc.
1992
Establishment of Lina Egypt (Lina Egypt for thread production)
2005
Establishment of Misr El‑Qanal (Misr Elqanal Plastic Industries)
2018
Establishment of EL Joker (El Joker Inner Tubes Factory)
2020
Establishment of Egy Tex — a textile/spinning factory focused on yarn/textile production.
